What is Vibe Coding?
“Vibe coding” is an emerging approach to software development that leverages artificial intelligence, particularly large language models (LLMs) to generate code from natural language prompts. In this paradigm, the developer’s role shifts from meticulously writing each line of code to guiding an AI with high-level descriptions of the desired functionality and then refining the generated output.
The term, which has gained traction in the tech community, essentially describes a more intuitive and conversational style of programming. Instead of focusing on the intricate syntax of a programming language, a developer can express their intent in plain English, and the AI translates that “vibe” into functional code.
How Vibe Coding Works
The process of vibe coding typically involves the following steps:
